The computer’s speaker plays sound normally; I connect it to my monitor with a DisplayPort cable, but sound doesn’t come out of the monitor.
There is a speaker inside the monitor and DisplayPort cable is able to carry sound, why no sound come out of the monitor’s speaker?
This issue doesn’t relate to the DisplayPort cable, instead it may be caused by the settings of your monitor or operating system:
1. The speaker inside your monitor is not enabled, or the volume is set too low to be heard;
2. Windows is sending sound to another playback device instead of the one related to monitor.
1. Enter into the OSD menu of your monitor, and make sure the speaker inside monitor is enabled, and the volume is high enough;
2. Follow the guide from VESA to tune your operating system
